Dr Sisa Ngebulana, UFH Law Alumnus and Business Mogul, to deliver keynote at Faculty’s first-ever CEO’s Platinum Breakfast with Students
This Friday, 18 October 2024, the University of Fort Hare's (UFH) Faculty of Law is set to host its inaugural CEO’s Platinum Breakfast with Students, ahead of the faculty’s top-achieving students awards ceremony, which will take place later that evening.
The breakfast will feature CEOs and senior business executives, Justices and Judge Presidents of the High Court, as well as business mogul Dr Sisa Ngebulana, an esteemed alumnus of the Law Faculty who will deliver the keynote address.
According to Dean Prof Mzukisi Njotini, the CEO’s Platinum Breakfast aims to connect high-achieving law students with industry leaders and influential figures in the legal and business sectors, fostering invaluable networking opportunities.
Dr Ngebulana, one of the most respected business leaders in South Africa, is the founder and owner of several multi-billion-rand companies, some of which are listed on the JSE. Currently, he serves as the executive chairperson and owner of Billion Group Limited. He is expected to share insights from his impressive career and discuss the importance of resilience and entrepreneurship in the legal field.
Prof. Njotini expressed enthusiasm for the event: "We believe this gathering will not only inspire our students but also provide them with practical knowledge and connections that are essential for their future careers. Dr. Ngebulana’s journey from our university to becoming a leader in the property sector exemplifies the success our students can achieve."
“One of the important aspects of the Faculty of Law’s mission relates to the production of suitably skilled and well-rounded law graduates. Therefore, this engagement enhances the opportunity for student development.”
The CEO’s Platinum Breakfast will take place on 18 October at the Phyllis Ntantala Collaborative Library on the East London campus from 9 am until 12
